Eight years after the last time (it was May 22, 2012), the Italy-San Marino Joint Commission for the development of tourism set out in the 2004 bilateral tourism agreement has returned to meet.

16 officials met in videoconference, eight for each party, to which were added the ambassadors Sergio Mercuri (Italy in San Marino) and Daniela Rotondaro (San Marino in Italy) coordinated by the Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati and by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism Lorenza Bonaccorsi.

On the San Marino side, the Department Director Filippo Francini, the Director of the Tourist Office Nicoletta Corbelli, the Commissioner of San Marino at Expo 2020 Mauro Maiani, the Special Secretary for Tourism Luca Lazzari, the consultant Massimo Feruzzi and the officials Paolo Crescentini were present. , Loretta Zafferani and Franca Rastelli. The institutional greetings and addressing interventions by the Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism Lorenza Bonaccorsi was followed by a technical discussion for the development of some extremely interesting points for the cooperation and bilateral relations. The goal is to create a new document that provides for the sharing of promotional tools, a broad collaboration on digital channels, the inclusion of San Marino in Italian marketing actions and the possibility of participating in the promotion actions of the tourist destination of Enit by the Republic of San Marino. Furthermore, in order to ensure a better execution of the agreement and a rapid achievement of the objectives, the parties have agreed to indicate contacts and operational procedures in a clear and direct manner.
