A delicious appetizer for a fish-based dinner, mussels alla marinara are a simple and rather quick recipe to make. Starting with very fresh mussels, with a few other ingredients and a few slices of toast, you will bring to the table an irresistible great classic of seafood.

Marinara mussels are an easy appetizer to prepare: cook the mussels very clean and open them in the casserole with the addition of garlic, oil, parsley and a splash of dry white wine. The result is a low-calorie but very tasty dish.

As well as the Mussel Impepata, which unlike this recipe does not require the addition of seasonings, also the marinara mussels are a specialty in which the delicate flavor of the mussels is preserved by short cooking. We also advise you to remove the mussels from the pot as the shells hatch because too much cooking risks making the molluscs hard and chewy. And for delicious appetizers, or at aperitif time, try the Mussels au gratin or the Fried Mussels.
