UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA is the insurance company of the Unipol Group, leader in Italy in the Non-Life classes and, in particular, in Motor TPL.
Also active in the Life business, UnipolSai occupies a leading position in the national ranking of insurance groups for direct deposits equal to approximately € 14.0 billion, of which 8.2 in Non-Life and 5.8 in Life (2019 data). It operates through the largest agency network in Italy, with 2,610 insurance agencies and 5,585 sub-agencies distributed throughout the country. UnipolSai Assicurazioni is controlled by Unipol Gruppo SpA and, like the latter, is listed on the MTA market of the Italian Stock Exchange.
In addition, it is active in direct insurance through Linear Insurance, in the protection of health with the specialized company UniSalute and oversees the bancassurance channel thanks to joint ventures with leading Italian banking operators. The agreement for the sale of Arca Vita from Unipol to UnipolSai was also finalized in 2018 (Arca Vita and Arca Assicurazioni distribute Life and Non-Life policies through the Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna groups, of which the Unipol Group holds 19.73% of the share capital as at 31 March 2020, Banca Popolare di Sondrio and other banks). The scope of UnipolSai also includes service companies dedicated specifically to the assistance, repair of motor vehicles and the management of “black boxes” for the Motor and Non-Motor lines.
UnipolSai is also present in Serbia through the second local insurer, DDOR Novi Sad.
Real estate sector
UnipolSai is one of the main operators in Italy for the size of its assets: it is the owner of properties of great historical, symbolic and architectural value, to enhance which the project was developed Urban Up, which aims to study and implement the redevelopment of important owned buildings.
The company is also a major player in the Italian hotel industry with the brand UNA Group, in the agricultural one through Tenute del Cerro and in port accommodation with Marina of Loano.

In recent years, Unipol Group has strengthened its brand awareness in the economic-financial community through the development of its presence on the new media, with a view to strategic integration between all corporate communication channels: thus the institutional profiles on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and the blog Changes, to increase the visibility of the many projects and initiatives that testify to the commitment with which Unipol transmits its corporate values and enhances the events linked to them.
